Dosa Express

I shop at Marché de l’Ouest regularly, but somehow I always overlooked this gem of a dosa spot and I deeply regret not trying it sooner. Hands down, this is the BEST dosa I’ve had in Montreal. Since my first visit, I’ve been coming back every week. The flavor, the freshness, the crispiness… it’s all unmatched. Their prices are also incredibly reasonable, making it an easy favorite. I can’t recommend this place enough!

Dosa was amazing! I haven’t had dosa like this in a long time. It reminded me of dosa from Bangalore. Service was really quick, we got our dosa almost 10 min after ordering.

Came here for the first time yesterday evening with my parents. We ordered two different kinds of dosa + idly, vada and chicken biryani. Everything tasted delicious and portions are generous. The waiter who served us was kind and welcoming. He took the time to explain each dish to us. The interior could be improved though and the bathroom hallway was quite cold. But overall I highly recommend this spot in the west island if you're craving some good dosa.

Me and my husband are regular customers here. We usually come here from all the way from Cornwall just for Dosa and idli. It’s been a year now and we love this place so much and their food is so authentic and good. I would really recommend everyone if you come to Montreal you should try this place..

Finally found the best dosa in Montreal! This was my first time at Dosa Express in DDO, and as a huge dosa lover, I was blown away. The highlight for me is that they offer a ghee option, so you can enjoy your meal without refined oils, total game changer. I ordered the Ghee Mysore Masala Dosa and the Ghee Plain Dosa. The Mysore masala was incredibly flavorful, and the portions are massive ( one os enough for two people to share). The sambar was soothing and perfectly consistent, no oily film on top, and the chutneys tasted fresh and simple. Highly recommend if you want an authentic, high quality meal!

We stopped by Dosa Express on our way back from Montreal to Toronto, and it truly made our trip memorable! The service was outstanding — the staff were friendly, welcoming, and made us feel right at home. The food was even better — crispy dosas, flavorful chicken curry, and the Bagara rice were absolutely delicious! The spices were perfectly balanced, and every dish tasted authentic and freshly made. If you’re looking to try the most authentic Dosas in the West Island then please look no further as this restaurant gives it all to you and more The staff is super gracious, welcoming with the best fast service ever My mother had the Masala Dosa while I had the Mysore Masala Dosa and the taste was beyond delicious Full compliments to the chef for making it so tasty and authentic and we equally loved the sambar, coconut chutney and tomato chutney Both the chutneys were so delicious that I couldn’t choose which one was my favorite Cannot wait to come with more family and friends and try everything else on the menu in this 11/10 restaurant UPDATE: Went again with a larger group and had idly, vada, plain dosa, masala dosa, paneer masala dosa, and Mysore masala dosa and as always amazing taste and fantastic service

I lived in South India for a year and this restaurant immediately brought me back to that wonderful place. The staff are kind and accommodating, the minimal decor is warm and inviting, and the food is absolutely delicious! I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a delicious, nutritious, and truly exotic dining experience. 5 stars all the way!
